Nach einigen Spekulationen wird der Mythos doch wahr: Google bringt ein eigenes Smartphone auf dem Markt. Der Software-Riese stellt nach wie vor die Software; Google Android OS. Das eigentlich Smartphone baut der Windows Mobile- und Android-Experte High Tech Computer (kurz: HTC) aus Taiwan.

Das Google Nexus One (mit dem Codenamen: HTC Passion) soll seinen Verkaufsstart am 05. Januar 2010 bei T-Mobile USA haben. Wann genau das Google Smartphone nach Deutschland kommt, steht noch nicht fest.
